Half of all of America's mushrooms are grown in the Kennett Square, Pennsylvania area 30 minutes south of Philadelphia. What began in 1885 with only a few farmers has become the dominant industry in this area. We are proud to be a part of the Kennett Square community.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
The mushroom farm community's economic impact on the area is approximately 2.7 billion dollars, through the farms, packing, shipping, compost, materials, and employment. Pietro Industries is proud to contribute to such a significant positive impact on our community.
